Equestrian Encounters is the creation of Capall Farm, Ltd. a family owned and operated organization which began from a life-long love of equines and a desire to share the passion and the joy we experience from these amazing animals. Our Equine Assisted Coaching programs use interactions with horses and other equines to assist with mental and physical well-being, personal development, and confidence.
Horses communicate clearly through their bodies and their energy. They do not judge. They are a true partner in helping us overcome personal or professional obstacles.
With Equine Assisted Coaching, we partner with horses to heal and to develop our best self. Horses give us self-worth and confidence. They help us to trust and to learn boundaries. They assist us in creating more meaningful and healthy relationships with ourselves as well as others.
Equine Assisted Coaching is not horsemanship and it is not horseback riding. All work with the equines is performed on the ground. No horse experience whatsoever is necessary. Horses can help! They are beautiful, strong and powerful animals yet so kind and gentle. A horse knows what is in your head, responds to what is in your heart, and connects directly with your soul.
We have programs for children and adults of all ages. We are located on a private, family farm just outside of Essex, Illinois just 15 minutes from the Reed Road exit off I-55. Winter encounters can be enjoyed in the comfort and safety of our heated barn and indoor arena. All visits are by appointment only.
Coaching is not psychotherapy, counseling, advice giving, mental healthcare, or treatment for substance abuse or any addictive behavior. Our coaches are not licensed mental health professionals, psychotherapists, or counselors, and do not present or act as such. Coaching is not intended as a replacement or substitution for counseling, psychiatric interventions, treatment for mental illness, professional medical advice, financial assistance, legal counsel, or other professional services. Our coaches are only able to work with clients who are able to self-regulate their nervous system. Our coaching programs do not include any type of assessments, diagnostics, treatment, or medication. If you are under the care of a health care professional, we recommend you consult with them before beginning any coaching program.
